My client is eight hours away
“Call at 3 pm their time” is easy to say and easy to get wrong by hand: add or subtract, remember daylight saving, hope. TodoLot sends your time zone and local time with every dictation, so you can speak in their time and be rung in yours.
What to say
“Call the client at 3 pm New York time.”
Name the city or the zone. “At 9” on its own always means 9 where you are.
What happens next
- The AI converts 3 pm New York to your local clock and sets the alarm there. The confirm screen shows the local time; check it before you save, because the conversion is done by the AI, not by a fixed rule.
- At that moment the phone rings and says “Call the client”, on silent and in Focus like any other TodoLot alarm.
- “On Friday” and “tomorrow morning” are resolved in your calendar and your day-part hours, in whatever language you dictated.
Make it stick
- One-off alarms are fixed to the moment you set; repeating alarms follow the clock of the time zone you are in. The app does not move existing one-off alarms when you travel.
- If you work with several cities, say the zone every time rather than relying on memory; the confirm screen is your check.
- Add a nudge for the preparation: “call the client at 3 pm New York time, remind me the morning of” gives you the notes-ready reminder too.
Free or Pro?
