TodoLot Support

Speak your tasks, hear them right on time.

TodoLot is a voice to-do list for iPhone that turns what you say into talking alarms, made by Viktor Gorbatiuk, an independent developer. Questions, bug reports, feature ideas or help with a subscription: every message is read.

Alarms

An alarm didn’t ring or didn’t speak. What should I check?

Check that TodoLot is allowed to schedule alarms (iOS Settings → TodoLot), that the device was on and charged at the alarm time, and that the task was confirmed with a time: tasks in the Someday or Today list without a time do not ring. If the alarm rang with a generic tone instead of a voice, the voice file could not be prepared in time; the alarm still rings and the task text is shown on the alarm screen.

Does TodoLot ring on silent mode or in Focus?

TodoLot alarms ring on silent and in Focus modes because they are real iOS system alarms scheduled through Apple’s AlarmKit, the same mechanism the Clock app uses. Tasks you mark as quiet arrive as normal notifications instead and do not break through.

Why is the alarm quieter or louder than I expected?

TodoLot alarms play at your iPhone’s alarm volume, the same setting the Clock app uses (iOS Settings → Sounds & Haptics). The app does not override it. A “gentle wake-up” option in Settings fades the sound in instead of starting at full level.

Does the alarm come back if I ignore it?

Only if you ask. Say “remind me a few times” when dictating, or turn on “Remind me until it’s done” in the task editor, and the alarm returns 15 and 45 minutes after the first ring until you mark the task done. Otherwise a task you did not resolve waits in the “Just rang” card and the Missed section.

How does the countdown to a date work?

Say “count down to my exam on the 30th” and TodoLot schedules a daily talking alarm that says how many days are left. You choose how many days before the date it starts and at what time in the task editor’s Countdown section.

Does TodoLot understand time zones, including other cities?

Yes. TodoLot sends your current time zone and local time along with the dictation text, so “at 9” means 9 o’clock where you are and “on Friday” resolves to the right date in your calendar. If you name another city’s time, for example “call the client at 3 pm New York time”, the AI converts it to your local clock; always check the time on the confirm screen before saving, because the conversion is done by the AI, not by a fixed rule. One-off alarms are fixed to that moment; repeating alarms follow the clock of the time zone you are in. The app does not move existing one-off alarms when you travel.

Dictation and languages

Which languages can I dictate in?

Any language that iOS speech recognition supports on your device; you choose the dictation language on the recording screen, and the chip remembers the languages you used recently. Natural alarm voices are tuned for English plus Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Hindi and Arabic; other languages use the default voice.

How does the AI turn my dictation into tasks, and what does it see?

Your speech is transcribed by Apple’s iOS speech recognition on the phone. Only the resulting text, plus your language, time zone, current time, the hours you count as morning, midday, evening and night, and the names of your task groups, is sent to an AI service that splits it into tasks with times. The audio never leaves Apple’s speech recognition, and TodoLot does not store the text. Details: Privacy Policy.

Can I add a task with Siri?

Yes. Say “Add task in TodoLot” or “Remind me with TodoLot” to Siri, or use the “Add talking reminder” action in Shortcuts. Siri tasks are parsed the same way as a dictation in the app, but they are scheduled right away and read back to you instead of waiting for a confirmation screen, so check them in the app. They count toward the free daily limit.

Does TodoLot work offline?

Tasks added by hand and all scheduled alarms work without a connection. Turning a dictation into tasks and generating a natural voice need the internet. If the network is unavailable when a task is saved, the alarm is built with the on-device system voice so it always rings.

Subscription

What is free and what does TodoLot Pro add?

TodoLot is free with 3 voice tasks a day (one dictation can use several), alarms spoken with the system voice, and unlimited tasks added by hand. TodoLot Pro adds unlimited voice tasks, 8 natural human voices and wake-up sounds before the voice, including ones you describe yourself. Pro is $149.99 per year or $12.99 per week with a 3-day free trial; prices are in USD, may vary by region and are shown in the app before purchase.

What happens when the free trial ends?

If you do not cancel before the 3-day trial ends, the plan you chose starts and Apple charges your account. Cancel during the trial in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions and you pay nothing; Pro features stop at the end of the trial and your tasks and alarms stay.

How do I cancel the subscription or get a refund?

Cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → TodoLot. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?

Sign in with the same Apple Account, open TodoLot, then Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases, or tap Restore on the paywall.

Can I try the natural voices before buying?

Yes. You can preview every voice in Settings → Voice on the free plan. Alarms use the built-in system voice until you start Pro.

Are there limits on custom wake-up sounds?

Custom wake-up sounds are part of Pro. You describe the sound in up to 120 characters, and the app generates up to 5 new sounds a day; sounds you already made are kept and reused.

Privacy and data

Do my tasks sync between devices?

No. TodoLot stores tasks on the device only; there is no account and no cloud sync. Device backups made by iOS may include them. There is no export feature yet.

How do I delete my data?

Deleting the app removes all tasks, settings and generated audio from the device. To delete the anonymous analytics and subscription records on our providers’ side, email vibeprogerai@gmail.com with the approximate install date and your device model; records are identified by a random ID, not by your name. See Privacy Policy → Your rights and choices.

How do I report a bug?

In the app, Settings → Feedback opens an email with your app and iOS version already filled in. Add what you dictated, what you expected and roughly when the alarm was due. There is no log export; a screenshot of the task or the alarm screen helps most.

Is TodoLot suitable for ADHD?

TodoLot is a general productivity app for anyone who loses tasks the moment they think “I’ll remember that”. If you have ADHD, a loud alarm that says the task may be easier to act on than a silent banner, and dictating removes the typing step. It is a convenience tool, not a medical device, and should not be the only reminder for medication or other critical obligations.
