I stopped the alarm and still didn’t do it
The alarm did its job: it rang, it said the task. You slid it away because you were in the middle of something, and that was the last you heard of it. For the tasks that have to happen, ask for more than one ring.
What to say
“Take the meds at 8, remind me a few times.”
“Remind me a few times” turns it on from dictation. It is also a toggle in the task editor: Remind me until it’s done.
What happens next
- The alarm rings at 8 and says the task. If you do not mark it done, it comes back 15 and 45 minutes after the first ring, saying the task again.
- Mark it done in the “Just rang” card at the top of the list and the repeats stop.
- Ignore all of them and the task ends up in the Missed section, so the day still shows what slipped.
Make it stick
- Pair it with a repeat for routines: “take the meds every day at 8, remind me a few times” is one sentence, set once.
- Important: TodoLot is a convenience tool, not a medical device. For medication and other critical obligations keep a second safeguard; no app can promise an alarm will ring in every circumstance.
- Countdowns work the same way for far-off dates: “count down to my exam on the 30th” rings every day and says how many days are left.
